A Free Multiple Choice Question Based Contest for

STD IX to STD XII Students (CBSE / TN STATE Board)

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation was founded in the year of 1960 by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba to enable its members to undertake service activities as a means to spiritual advancement.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSO), is one that accepts the equality of all the Religions across the World and promotes the Unity of mankind across the globe. The SSSO, India has undertaken several nationwide initiatives and programs under the different wings of the organisation (Educational wing, Service wing and Spiritual wing) which has touched the lives of innumerable people across India in a positive way. With the moto of “Transforming Self to Transform the World”, the ever growing Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation India with its thousands of Seva Samithis and Bhajan Mandalis (centres) established all across the length and breadth of the country, is creating a platform to embark upon this divine transformation journey for both the individual and the society at large.

As a part of the Educare activities, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Chennai Metro North, Tamilnadu conducted a Free Multiple Choice Question Based Contest for  STD IX to STD XII Students (CBSE / TN STATE Board -both English and Tamil Media) on 16th February 2020 at Central Metro Railway Station Lobby B5 coordinated by a team of subject matter experts in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, and Social Science. The duration of the contest is 2 hours. There were 120 multiple choice questions in 3 subjects. Students were advised to choose any 3 subjects and attempt this MCQ Contest (CMMC-2020- Chennai Metro MCQ Contest) to check their preparedness for the forthcoming board and school annual examinations.

By attempting one mark questions, students can score full marks in short interval of time and this builds up a good confidence among students. With this strategy they will score high marks in the forthcoming board examinations and make proud of their schools. Students started online registration from 5th February 2020. Within a few days it has crossed 1600 with 1415 students from T.N. State board English medium schools, 37 students from Tamil medium T.N. State board schools and 148 students from CBSE schools. In spite of tight schedule of examination students from more than 20 schools have participated in this contest. The wider reach of this successful MCQ Contest indicates the interest of the students, the involvement of parents and the extensive support from T.N. State board schools and their head masters and teaches. Since this contest has reached widely across Chennai, we will try to conduct similar programmes in various parts of Chennai. We thank Central Metro Rail Authorities, School heads, teachers, parents and wish a grand success to all students participating in CMMC-2020 contest. The result link was posted on 19th February through WhatsApp and Telegram. It is score dashboard. Students can themselves find their names and percentage of marks scored in CMMC-2020. The first 133 students were invited to Sri Sathya Sai Nivas, Perambur, Chennai – 11 on 23rd February 2020.

The Topper Trophy Award function was held on 23rd February 2020 at Sri Sathya Sainivas, Perbambur, Chennai-11. District president of SSSO, Chennai Metro North gave welcome address to the students and parents.

District Spiritual Coordinator of SSSO explanined the need for spirituality for a successful student.

Sri. E. Ramanathan briefed the audience on how the CMMC-2020 was made a grand successful event among the students with the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Sri Sainath compered efficiently the entire event with his extempore.

Total number of students eligible for the award was 133, out of which 118 students turned out along with their parents and made the award function a grand event.


It turned out to be an interesting discussion where it didn’t stop with the awarding ceremony alone but became a brainstorming and interactive session with parents and the students.
The most expected needs of the students and the parents were noted down by the educational service team with high priority to start the further course of action in the field of educational service.

The certificates and the trophies were distributed by State service coordinator and honourable sevadals of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations who were a part of the CMMC seva at Chennai Central CMRL station.
