Dear Parents,
Please do not underestimate your daughter’s or son’s personality and skill set. Keep them charged like a smartphone periodically with your love and affection. They have many skillsets. Each one is unique and has high TINA (There Is No Alternate) factor. Never insult in front of any one. Instead of blaming them, consult and counsel; spare a few minutes daily with them. Pleases do not irritate them by talking ill of their academic performance. It is the job of a mentor.
Your children have already a mindset like who can talk about their academic performance and who should not. As a parent, you are a facilitator for his or her academic journey. Support them with their time management. Your ward has got many time stealers viz., school van driver, friends, some school teachers who torture the students in the name of remedial classes, surprise guests at home, smartphone, TV, internet, social media, digital games, movies, parties etc. Put your wards in the proximity of a good mentor or Guru or Teacher. Longer the time they associate with his or her Guru, greater will be the performance. Do not try to separate your wards from his or her mentor. Instead, isolate them from these time stealers.
They should be trained to manage their time more effectively. Do not skip regular discussion with your child’s mentor. Such responsible discussions about your ward’s performance will be more useful to understand you son or daughter better. Be happy with your God’s children.
