Arithmetic progression (AP) is a list of numbers in which each term is obtained by adding a fixed number to the preceding term except the first term .

Common difference (d) is the fixed number in the arithmetic progression.

Term is each of the numbers in the list.

a is used represent the first term

d is used to represent the common difference

n is used to represent the total terms

an is used to represent the n th term

l is used to represent the last term

Sn is used to represent the sum of the first n terms
